Prelude VS Prelude Si
Hey Im planning to get a 4th gen prelude soon
My question is how much faster are the Si preludes the the regluar i know they are 30 more hp, i dont wanna go hard core speed and stuff but i want the power and wanna be able to go pretty fast. Is it a big noticable difference or just a little fast or what. Thanks

The Prelude S is SOHC, the Si and VTEC ones are DOHC. If you want to modify it then get an Si or VTEC. Modifying the S is a waste of time - You would end up putting more money into it making it faster than just buying an already faster Si or VTEC. This applies to the US 92-96 models (93-96 for VTEC). 97 and up are all VTEC. Between an S and Si? Noticeable difference. If you modify it then BIG noticeable difference.

The S is a waste of money, its like having a sohc d motor in hatchback plus about 500lbs. The Si is bad ***, the vtec is bad ***. Stay away from the S and get the Si or Vtec depending on your budget...
I used to own a 93 si and now i own a 96 vtec and the difference in power is a definite improvement. Of course my si was a piece.
I say go with the vtec if u can get it.
