Default Bolting h22a to a F series tranny.

I remember someone swapping out his F-series engine out of his 95 accord for a h22. I have a 96 Honda Accord that is my daily driver. I plan on swapping a h22 in it, but I am going to leave the auto tranny in it and ad some bolt ons. I already have a car that's fast, but this is my day to day car which I would like to ad some HP to. So what would I need to do this swap, and will the F-series tranny be able to handle a h22 with some bolt ons.

I figure I just need a 96-up USDM h22a with a auto tranny Prelude ECU/wiring harness. Then everything should bolt up. Or can I use my stock ecu for my accord?

Thanks guys!

Accord ECU would work, but you wouldn't get as much hp and what not because the rev-limit and fuel maps would be off. Big James uses a GSR ecu that has been reprogrammed, he has an auto w/ his h22 as well. Any auto prelude ecu should work as long as isn't a newew one w/ the sport-shift option.

Big James, that's the guy I talked to about this about 1-2 years ago when I was at NOPI. So he is using a GSR ECU, hmm that is probably easier for him to do since he can use a OBD-1 ECU and just plug that in his 95 Accord. I have OBD-2 and I know that I would probably get a OBD-1 conversion and then have my friend with a hondata stage 4 reprogram it. But it would probably be easier if I got a OBD-2 h22 ECU, if I can get my hands on one.

How bout the wiring harness?

hey there i have a 96 auto also and am in the process of putting in my h22 and staying auto..

if you need anythign email me anytime..
but you can use a 96-97 accord ex ecu yeah. or the 96 h22 auto ecu. its a bit harder to find but its out there.. 97+ has the sport shifter.. also i am looking into useing a obd2 gsr and trying to see if i can piggy back the TCU onto it.. i doubt it though. but tranny bolts right up to it.. and wiring harness is ok. just add vtec if you dont have it.. like me i have a lx so i have to do the wiring..
MY H22 is being resleeved and will soon be in. then the rest of the turbo kit will be bought.. i had to sell my turbo unit i bought for money to get in the h22 in.. its more important to get the engine in first then mess with the turbo..
