I have had my mind on getting a zc moter for my 89 si for ever. But If i do my budget won't allow me to get wheels and tiers for a long time (collage) And i want to get some new rims and tires. I have about $1000 to spend . I want the zc bad, but i have heard there isn't much power incress from my stock engine. And a zc wouldn't help much if i still am using my stock wheels.

But i don't know how long my engine will last cause i checked my plugs today and they all had oil on them. And i have to put almost a quart of oil in it every 600 miles. So i know i am burning oil. How much dose it cost to rebuild and engine (pistons, rings, cylinder bore?) Mabey i will do an engine rebuild and get wheels? I don't know what to do.

I would first go with the ZC and then save up for a while to get the wheels. From what it sounds like, your engine may not last too much longer. Paint your stock wheels to a color you like maybe for an added appeal or keep them same for the sleeper look. Also have you thought about suspension or anything else like that first?
