Default What intake CAN I use?

I have a 96 b18b with the stock intake tube from the b18b and an STi Injen short ram. The tubing hits the battery and the intake is a tight fit. What intake set-ups do you guys have? Any pics? Thanks

You can just relocate your battery; if you don't want to do that AEM has a hybrid line of intakes for engine swap.
You are saving a lot of you just relocate your battery too.

I'm going with that second option, I don't have the money to relocate the battery and I really don't have 250 for the hybrid intake.

Be sure to have a terminal cover on the positive battery terminal so it never touches the intake as shown in the pic.

or better yet do what i did and flip your battery around so that the positive terminal is nowhere near the intake tube

Will the connections reach out there? Sounds like a very good idea though. What if the intake touches the ground terminal? It'll still end up grounding itself on the intake if it touches won't it?

huh? no lol. the positive terminal arcs to the intake pipe because its completing a circuit. electricity flows from the negative terminal, to the chassis, to the intake pipe, and then right into the positive terminal. so basically like laying a wire across both batt. terminals. If the battery negative is against the pipe, nothing is going to happen, because they are both grounds and is no circuit can be completed.
