Best shock/spring combination for DA???
Hi, I have a 91 gs and I want to drop it. I was looking at getting the tokiko blue suspension package that comes with 4 tokico blues, and 4 tokico lowering springs to match. Anyone have this is it a good set up?? Or should I get tokico blue shocks and some other set of lowering springs?? What do you guys think, I want something that sits nice too. Thanks
I don't get how you're asking about the "best" setup, and then you talk about looking at ghetto setups.
Don't use the tokico blues, they suck for lowered cars, will ride like crap and won't last long. I use the tokico illuminas (whites) along with ground controls on my DA and am pretty happy with them, but I got the GC's for $100 new from my brother's friend.

my DA rolls on ksport pro coilovers. very happy with it. not to soft and not to stiff unless I crank up the shock adjustments to the max. perfect for as a daily driver.
the tokico blues and their springs
the illuminas on the other hand are worth the money. I use to have them on my ol' EJ1 as a daily driver with weekend run up the mountains/canyons for almost 8 years without any problems
GC's are a good choice too.

the blues and there lowering springs suck. the drop looks like stock height. i had the tein basic's on my DA and had no problems wut so ever. u can also try the illuminas with G/C's. really good set up.
