Default B16 help....

Im going to be building a high spec crx very soon and in need of abit of advice.
My plans are to use this as an everyday car aswell as a few track days etc.

Im looking at rebuild from ground up. And im aiming for about 400whp(at first, but will probably want more! so will probably build the engine to cope with more..)

I have had a look at some turbo kits and theyve got me thinking as to which one i should get?

There is a stage 1 and a stage 2.

My advice is you click that search button above your original post and get comfortable.

Your second sentance alone makes me very, very sure of this.

Enjoy yourself.

Heres a link in case you're having a hard time finding it.

Yea just because the car is going to be a daily driver, dosent mean you shouldnt run a turbo, there are alot of Daily driven reliable boosted setups out there, tuning is key and having proper setup you will be fine....but anyways to the OP if your looking for 400whp i would do some internal sin the motor such as some eagle rods and forged pistons, although there have been setups to make 400hp on stock internals, i wouldnt want it to be my daily unless i had a built block that i know would be able to take the beating everyday.

My thoughts exactly.

It will be getting properly built . And will all be forged. I just need to decide on what route to take.

See, the truth isn't so hard to admit is it?

This thread shouldn't even exsist. You'd know everything you needed to if you weren't so desperate for H-T's approval and just searched then made your own decisions.

Oh well, anyone with half a brain knows you're full of ****. These answers are plentiful. Mostly because noobs like you that ask them are also, unfortunatly, plentiful.

Who's sticking out their chest?

You're the one sticking middle finger smilies in the posts, you're the one doing all of the name calling. I'm just stating facts. Cold, hard facts. Truth hurts I guess.

Moving along...

Not really sure how I've looked to be a simpleton or a fool anywhere in any of my posts either. Most of my spelling and grammar are bang on.... Again, its just you and your need for name calling.

You've got the nerve to be a brash hypocrite and you're going to call ME the fool.

Oh, and to answer your question no. I help alot of noobs, I've been around here a long time, I've helped a lot of people, noob or OG. Join date doesnt make me respect or disrespect a person. A general disregard for the Honda-Tech.com rules, and making posts like yours that are easily one of the most covered subjects on the board. That, is what got you the first response from me.

Your generally bad atitude and rude demeaour got the next reply. You're bringing this all on yourself.... I've said it before and I'll say it again. These threads are plentiful, if you did a competent search you would have all your answers.

I'm not sure why you think I want a fight here, and are trying to make it look like I'm the one being a dick. When, again, let me remind you... You're the one doing all the name calling. So cut it out, cuz it hurts my e-feelings guy, it really does.

*sigh*

And i seem to recall you was the first with your shitty and sarcastic post (there for all to see) as all i said was is that i have used the search, which i have. Maybe im not using the right sentence, words, or maybe i dont know what im searching for... If you dont like what im posting, why post? Im sure everyone can see who the **** is here as your replys are just uncalled for..

So why dont you go waste your time elsewhere or even better go help some newbies... Awaits another superb reply...

Nice grammar there champ.

Sorry for the slow reply, I had to run to work to cut the flange off a d16a6 intake manifold for an ITB project someone I know is working on.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm not wasting my time at all, watching you get uppity like this is worth a grin.

I'm not going to post anymore after this. A quick search will tell anyone that wants to know everything about my attitude around here. I help out just as much as I flame (well, probably more). I really believe in a balanced lifestyle.

wow e fighting...anyway man your on the right track w a b16 a simple piston and rod setup will easily give you around 400whp but just be ready to spend the money to actually get it done and TUNED right , and then later on to jump power you can always do a b18 bottom end

You have aray of options on a b16 build. I hear alot guys say you cant block guard over 500. But ive ive but running an 99ek at 765 on block guard for two years at 30psi. I beleive its just in how much you wanna spend. but def build bottom end take car of your valvetrain. I would go with eagle rods and 9-7-1 cp pistons and sleeve the block to 84 and three way valve job and port and polish and put full race top mount with T67 Ho and let her you will acheive your target and when your ready for more just turn the boost up.

the stage 1 kit should give you all you will need on the street, just make sure your engine gets built right with the right clearances, and you get a good tune...if you wanna go allmotor, the b16 is a great choice for the street , i have done a few with goldeneagle sleeves bored to 86mm with the stock crank and rods, ported head and jun3 cams ,made 230 with 12.1 compression,on pump gas,its a total sleeper,it ran low 12's in the 1/4 in a crx..
