96 accord ex f22b engine swap need help
i have an 96 accord ex automatic just swaped the original vtec engine with an automatic f22b vetc engine need some help on wat to do to get it started and running theres no spark so it means it may not be fireing need immediate help this is also my daily driver as well
check your ground wire on the intake manifold and its on the driverside end. there's a bolt and should have a wire bolted there from the engine harness. One time when i did my headgasket for the first time, that ground wire just needed a tad bit to tighten it down but it wasn't tighten all the way down, so therefore i didn't get any spark to fire up the engine.
got da sparking problem fixed and still have a lil problem my autotech teach says it could be a compression or fuel related problem any suggestions would be gladly takin
seems to me like since you are doing a direct 96 vtec swap to the same vtec swap, everything should be plug and play. just gotta remember what went where. try to get a hold of someone with a vtec motor and compare to see what goes where.
thanks and dats wat was done and how gettin it to fire was done still supect either the timing, maybe fuel, or compression is off cuz it cranks and fires but will not turn over just yet and if possible can it be confirmed if the jdm engine requires a higher octane fuel and if this maybe a problem so i can rule that one out
