Type-s Radio

Are the faceplates on the stock bose type-s radio inter-changable? I have a broken radio with a good face, and my friend has a cracked face with a good radio. Can we swap the faceplates and make it work?

I haven't taken mine out yet but I would have to assume there is a way of swapping them with a little bit of wiring knowledge needed maybe.
