Default Replacing heater Core??tip's please

Well guy's it looks like my header core is shot in my 99 accord. got water coolent mix on the passanger floor/ temp gauge was rising/ rad was empty/ but still was blowing hot air? which puzzled me abit. but anyways was wonder if their was anything to watchout for when replacing the heater core. do I need to disconnect any a/c lines? been search the web but just haven't found any good step by step info yet.

I can't belive the cost of these core's did some calling around to the typical part stores 150-345 (which was the dealer) this blow a big hole in my ef mini me swap buget, it just sucks. I replace a heater core once in 83 tbird it suck took me a whole weekend.

Any bit of advice would be greatfull thanks...

Started tearing into it yesterday got the glove box, stereo, control units out,
now working on get the drivers side unbolted.
question is the top of the dash by the windshild bolted or just snap in?
looks to me you can possibly get the heater core out without discharging the A/C??

StraitRunna- thanks for the post back support..I needed it, your right this a PITA.
yeah, I have a haynes manual but got discouarge when I read the part about having a tech discharging the A/C unit. but I think I pick it back up and read thru it again. just not finding much support on the web.

Also It seems, correct me if I'm wrong, but can the dash come out in one peace meaning the found and top?

Typically the upper/outer corners of the dash are on pegs, and it should slide off them.
You might consider looking at majestic honda for parts breakdowns that will help you find attachment points.
