rim and tire qustion
Because rims that big belong on an escalade not a civic...
For a more technical answer its probably because they are cast and not forged. Motegi's aren't the highest end rims out there...

They still shouldn't weigh 35lbs a wheel without the tire. I'll assume it's with the tire....hopefully. If it's with the tire, that's not so bad. Consider that the tire probably weighs like 15-18lbs or so....
yea its with tire. i looked online and found a rim similar style and same size that they say weighed 20lbs. anyone have a clue what a stock 13 in rim and tire woulda weighed?

Physics states that if two objects have an equal mass (30lbs), the one with the mass that is farthest away from a central axis point will have the higher moment of inertia.
Simply put....it's harder to spin a 17'' wheel that weighs 30lbs than a 13'' wheel that weighs 30lbs.
