what would be best for the crx i got

A.)the h22 with b series tranny?

or

B.)the K20/K24 setup I got?

this is a daily driven car and will continue to be that way after the swap so please help out here I cant decide on this.

 

I would personally do a K20, but that's because i'm helping my roommate with and H22 swap for his CRX and its hell.
I'm just lucky I have a B series in mine

 

its got a b16 in it but i got these with minor work done on them.i just heard you had to notch the firewall for the k20 setup because of the intake so how true is this?

 

you have to do that for either swap, but that is the least of your worries

 

Both swaps are hard work.. K is more work but if you have the knowledge to and money to do a k swap, id go with that for sure!

Good luke trying to get a hood to fit over a k24/k20, and i personal think if you can swap in a B you can swap a K. People make it seem like some kinda of open heart surgery or something.

 

Can't you get it to fit under the hood of an EF8 conversion.....thought i saw this done?

 

my buddy jr has a k24 bottom end and k20 head turboed in his rex his hood fits fine

 

I'm not saying it can't be done but it's not easy. a K20 will fit under a EF raised hood with some trimming but a K24/20 takes some work. On a side note a H is a little more practical then a K in a crx (emission suck).
