whats up im wanting to do a tsx upgraded lens on the one peice projector headlights. Do you guys think that will be good?

 

I haven't heard or seen anyone just swap the lenses on cheap projector lights and use an HID kit. You can get clear lenses from retrofitsource for pretty cheap. If you try it out, take pics and let us know if there was a difference in your lighting.

 

yeah i havent really heard anyone doing this too. im gonna try this and ill post pics and all when i get.

 

There are several 2.5 Clear lenses that may work, other than the TSX lenses.

It's hard to predict the outcome without actually trying it.

the guy on retro fit source said the lexus rs-afs i think. they are lexus's tho. their lens are actually better than the tsx's so i might try those.

 

I'm not sure if you meant Lexus RX, but none of the RX series had clear lenses. They either came fresnelled, dimpled, or slightly frosted. I have three sets on hand is how I know.

The retrofit source sells 2.5 inch replica lenses which fit the Lexus RX, that's probably what they meant.

You could also try these other 2.5 inch lenses from: s2000, halogen 2k+ celica, z32 300zx, and and bmw e30.

 

What projector are you going to use?

 

using the one piece black projectors its for a 93 2dr civic. i had one but i ruined it it uses 2.5" lenes though so ima try it.

 

Are these aftermarket halogen projector headlights? If they use H3 bulbs, they will almost certainly be crap no matter what lens is on it.

 

It used H1 bulbs but ima try anyways and mess with it. also try to make some space for color and all that stuff.

 

i'm traying to do it with my 98 civic TYC's i have HID'd on it now their ok but i've alway wonder about just changing the lenses

 

is your cutoff alright with the regular lens? yeah man what K do you have? i want the 6K or 5K not sure.
