Default what aftermarket parts are readily available for the RSX-S?

What is available as far as exhaust/header is concerned? Is anyone running the AEM short ram intake for the RSX-S? Any pictures of it?

Thanks,
Mark

ive heard there are a lot of aftermarket parts for the RSX-S.. the RSX runs better with an AEM CAI then a short ram.. there are some prototype turbos out there.. u just have to look around for the parts.. just wait a bit and the market will be booming with parts for the baby K20 engine...

I believe the only header out right now is Comptech and HP. DC Sports is due to come out soon, and I saw the ClubRSX Header on their website, but I don't know if its readily available. There's all kinds of exhausts out too, just pick a manufacturer and they probably have one. If I could chose again I'd get something JDM. I'm running the Injen SRI, which has shown much better gains on the dyno versus the AEM SRI...so if you aren't getting an AEM CAI, you should probably go with the Injen SRI over the AEM SRI.

As for aftermarket for the RSX type S there are plenty of companies that are now doing R&D on the k20 motor.

Here are some of the basics that are out for the k2o motor..

AEM has released the SRI and CAI intake for the car, along with fuel rails, and pullies.

INJEN has the SRI out for the car.

Comptech has the intake box, exhaust, header, and strut bars available now.

TODA has a whole line up including cams, vtec killers, valve springs, rings, pistons, suspension all coming in mid to late december of this year.

Spoon has strut bars available now, and a header out right now to for 1000.oo. They are bringing more out, but wont be till next year

GReddy Has a exhaust out for it now, and has a turbo in the works that should be out by the end of the year if not out yet.

REVHARD has a turbo in R&D right now as we speak and should be released by early next year.

JDM DC5R these parts are out now which include, cams, header, exhaust, pistons, valve springs, cluster, strut bars, wheels, suspension, brake set up, interior, exterior. They are out, but hard to get a hold of.

Mugen this company has a full body kit which was tested in a wind tunnel and has shown to reduced drag. They have intake, header, exhaust, valve springs, roll cage, seats, and have alot more coming for it as time proceedes.

And then there is APC , but please do not go with these ricer stores.. Get real performance for the money you spend..

There are more companies bring out parts for the k2o, but it will take time and more R&D on the motor. So wait patiently and the aftermarket will be as huge as the b16,b18 market..

Comptech has some nice 4-in-2 headers that provide 10% more hp at the wheels, I'm probably gonna get those..

The "DADDY" will be out soon--->JRSC,.it will be released in Sept!!! I will have as soon as its here!
JIC also has good parts for DC5--I will probably get the "Bullet" JIC exhaust or Buddy Club Spec III,...
I'm Sure DC has the best header,..I say to Hell w/ Comptech(header & Exhaust) unless the make a Supercharger--the're stuff didn't dyno or test to my standards--but hey,..what do I know?NOTHING-hahah
Injen tested better then AEM CAI,..so I got it!,...TODA's should be GREAt,.I have a feeling DC5-R cams wouldn't do or make a big difference,..so,..If I went ALL motor,..I'd get Toda's--because "stock Idle is fo' *****'s"-"TO-DA panties up"!

Hey you read my mind bro. I saw some dyno's in the super compact car RSX shoot out and the comptech header and exhaust only gained like 3 hp to the wheels... really sad....

Im going all TODA!!! I was going to do jdm parts, but the local import shop owner put DC5R cams in his type S and he did not notice any gains or power. So im not going to get them and wait till dec. for Toda.. I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes.

Thank you for that information bro, I knew I was forgeting something.

One question I have about the titanium exhaust is how strong is it? Its light but how does it take a little ding?

Example: Lets say your car is lowered and you go up a curb and accidently scrap or hit your exhaust..how does it handle?

Does anyone have any specs or links so I can see the specs on this exhaust?
Thanks ahead of time guys.

I believe Titanium is one of the strongest materials out there. And as to the TODA Cams, I remember you were planning on getting the Mugen Titanium Valve Springs, but I've heard you should get the TODA valve springs because the other ones may damage the Cams.
