I bought one from a company about a month ago. The first wing i received was blemished and damaged from shipping. The box had a sticker on it that matched the part number from VIS, but the quality of the wing didnt look that great and instantly i questioned everything. A call tag was sent to pick up the damaged wing and another one was shipped to me.

I received the new wing a few days later and as soon as it was handed to me the red flag went up again. The box had the name brand cut out on both sides, but they decided to leave the description and part number on the side of the box. I did a google search and it was in fact an NRG box, everything exactly the same. The wing also had two green stickers on the underside which matched the pictures i found of the NRG wing. I also noticed the previous wing was hollow on the underside and this one wasnt. They are telling me that it was a VIS wing in an NRG box, but the wings are totally different and so is the hardware included. On the upside they are replacing it again.

The new wing should be here soon and i would really appreciate it if a few people could snap a pic of the underside of their VIS eg duckbill.

 

Who'd you buy it from man, and how much?

 

I dont want to say who the company is just yet, but i will tell you its not a sponsor.
Before i purchased it i was guaranteed that it was authentic VIS.

well anything from vis will have, almost like a vin tag on it, thats riveted or glued to the underside of the product to let you know its genuine vis, call vis and ask them if they sell wings to the place you bought it from....

 

I searched and supposedly their CF duckbills dont come with a VIS tag, but i do plan on contacting VIS.

What I would do is contact VIS and ask them if the company you are ordering their part from is a distributor for VIS products. But I remember my friend ordering an NRG wing and it had green stickers as you descirbed, Also the fitment of the NRG duckbill was horrible only 2 of the 4 bolts lined up. But I hope you get this sorted out.

 

Sorry I don't have a VIS wing or know what ones looks like but just a suggestion, you might get a better response if you take a pic of yours and post it up and people can easily tell you if it's VIS or not.. instead of asking people to go take a pic of theirs, transfer it to their computer, host it and post it..

but anyways, how is the company trying to screw you? they replaced the damaged one, maybe they sent the wrong replacement by an accident.. but on the other hand I could see where they might've tried to pull a fast one on you... it sucks that you gotta wait and send parts back and forth but at least they're working with you on it..

 

I understand what your saying, but unfortunately the idea to post this thread came about after i sent the wing back, so no pics.

The only reason i think they tried to screw is because they are saying that it was a VIS wing in an NRG box. Why take the time to remove the brand name on the box if they had nothing to hide. Yeah, im lucky they are working with me on this, which is why i havent posted their information yet.

Yeah, ordered the damn thing on December 11th. The wing coming Thursday will be the third ****ing one.
