southern pride EG hatch build..
I am starting this build thread, regardless of the fact that I sold this car a month ago..
Anyway, this car is the perfect example of a before and after. The good thing is that this car is still constantly improving each and every weekend. I've put eons of time into this car, blood, sweat, and tears that I'll never get back. The new owner of this car and I have decided to continue the progress of the build and he'll constantly update with new stuff.
First things I'll show are the car when I bought it.

i'm so sorry...i had some problems finding them...

the main seller for this car was the B16...i figured i could work with the rest...
i paid about 3400 for the car. i got robbed big-time...

anyway, this ugly bastard needed so much work.
i practically put a whole summer's paychecks at an 8.50/hr job into this car to even get it remotely close to done.
in the process of owning this car, i learned so much about honda's in general...
after about 4000 in work in this car, including...
rear main and all engine gaskets (the motor was dribbling oil like baby spit)
coilover suspension
carbon fiber hood
brand new primer and prep
brand new exedy clutch
brand new motor mounts
complete interior wiring re-do...
i was rear-ended by a company truck for some stoneworking business...
i never got my settlement and practically had to pay out of my own pocket...
for my first hatch, it was a huge headache...it consumed a major part of my life...
i didn't complain a bit, though...i loved this thing like a kid...it was a huge joy in my life.
unfortunately, i decided to sell it and get something more complete in the paint, body, and interior package..
my good friend david bought this car from me about a month ago...it went for 4700, which is a blessing on both our parts...so i bought a red del sol...
david is going to keep us updated on the progress of the car. i sent him an integra dash with the car, so we should see a dash swap in the near future. he'll post pics and possibly DIYs in the thread.
