I have had Honda's forever, they are amazing in every way. I have a 2006 Accord and the factory bumper to bumper will be expiring in a few months. I would never ever consider having an extending warranty on a Honda, but for some reason I am leaning toward it on this Accord. Can you purchase one directly through the dealer, maybe one that mirrors the CPO dealer warranty? What would be the rates for these, are these listed anywhere on Honda's website, anyone work for a dealer than can chime in? I appreciate it. PS: I do not need anyone to clutter the thread with "you don't need it, etc..." I just want to know what offers are available from Honda and what they cover.

You can purchase through them, or print the page and use the pricing the negotiate the price of an extended warranty through another party. That's what I did on my '09 Accord V6 coupe. The 8yr/120k extended warrant from the dealer went from $2300 to $1200 when I showed them my quote.

Looking at $1260 for $0 Deductible

Extends Warranty until 2014 or 94,000 miles.

Anyone know if the $1260 is refundable if you never make a claim and choose to end coverage?

This seems reasonable, but I have to wonder what will go wrong in the car 60K miles from now. Except for like a freak A/C compressor or something like that, I really do not know what would fail on this car, and its not an early model year its an 06 not an early 03, etc...

 

I wouldn't buy anything other than Hondacare for an extended warranty. By far one of the best and easiest to use extended contracts available and I've dealt with a lot of them.

Honda Certified cars are run through Hondacare as well as opposed to Honda warranty.

 

Also, I just got a promo code from Curry Honda on the Honda care warranty for another $90 off the $1260 so that is $1170...

If I can cancel the coverage at any time, without making a claim for full reimbursement I am going to pull the trigger. What do you guys think, yay or nay?

 

Most likey i would go for it , it gives u a peace of mind , and ur covered ,i have an 07 and its ends in august i have less then 7200 miles , so ill probobly reach 2014 before i reach 96,000 . i might look into wat u did when the time comes , i say YAY.....
