I've seen a few CRXs here and there that have hoods opened all the way to 90°... my hood stops short of that, around 60°. Is there a modification that allows it to open more?

 

you can just put small holes farther below where the stock ones are and put your hood prop there or buy hydraulic hood props that are extended than normal

 

No, what I mean is regardless of the hood prop, you cannot force my hood open to 90° wihthout breaking something on my 91 Si. I need to take a closer look at it... I think this might be a subtle difference between different years.

 

I'm not sure how but mine will open past 90* I've never even lloked at my hinges. i'll take a look when I get off work today.

 

in my old crx after the hood flew up and smashed my windsheild the hood was then able to open further. the hood was obviously toast.

 

there are small stops that bolt on where the hing is. just take them off and it will open more
