Can i run my 98 lude with a jdm h22a with a stock p72?
i recently bought my lude about 2 months ago it came with a stock jdm h22a non type S
but it will do. anyways i was woundering if i can run a stock obd2 p72 ecu with out any problems... things like smog, vtec ex....... will all the fuels maps be the same as the stock 98 prelude ecu. i didnt want to go through the hassel of getting new keys ignition switch and all that stuff that it really needs to run stock. ive read on a couple of forms that its possiable but i just want to make sure that its not going to blow up in my face or cause any harm to my car. im just tired to pressing a lil button that i riged up for vtec.also i was woundering if i can smog with it either.... thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!

Chipping ecu do not pass inspection here in MA because the computer can not read when a jumper harness is used and a obd1 is used.....Not sure how your state applies
im in CA i think its the same over here too. i was thinking if i can put an obd2 p72 in my 98 prelude and the car is bone stock. i just dont like using a single came ecu. but will that obd2 p72 ecu work with no problems though... thats what im woundering i dont want to buy another motor.
