Question about Power Steering Reservoir
Hey guys a couple days i was changing out one of my headlights that went out. In the process of doing so i disconnected the reservoir and moved it around so i could work around it. Some of the oil from the reservoir came out( a decent amount). I fixed the light but i noticed that there was a really loud wining sound that is so annoying. I thinking could it be because some of the oil spilt out and it doesnt have enough or that i moved the rubber tubes around its making this wining sound. What do you guys think the problem could be?
umm you need to fill your p/s reservoir asap before you burn ou the pump. you should only use honda p/s fluid or gunk makes p/s fluid for honda i believe its a yellow and black bottle.
Either your low on fluid or there is air in the line. There are marks on the resavor. Make sure it is where it should be. Yes, you must use honda PS fluid. Fill it to proper level and leave the top off. Turn the car on and turn the wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right and repate a couple of times. If you have someone to help you have them fill if the level drops in the resavor or check it your self periodicly if you don't have help. Do this a couple times until the bubles disapate. The noise should be going away at this time.
