this is a bit of a stupid thread but im gonna post anyway...

picked up a rear seat from the UK from a 1.5x CRX

was missing the two ***** on each side of the top of the seat back that release the back to fold down.

the seat back also had tears and was covered with black ugly tape so i took the backing to get recovered and de-rusted and refinished/coated the metal frame while i was at it.

so here is my question:

regarding the release ***** at the top, does anyone know if they are the same as any other honda/acura?

obviously honda canada has a hard time ordering these since they never made them...so i decided "what could be so different between these any any other honda rear seat release ****?"

so i did some searching on majestic and san leandro honda online and found a part number for a 92-95 civic eg si rear seat, and i also for fun looked up at acuraautomotiveparts.org what a 1997 integra type r used for a **** on their rear seat.

what did i find?
same part, same part number, eg and teg type r
so i ordered the set from honda and im gonna try to fit it to my CRX rear seat.

but if anyone has experience with this i would appriciate it since it would save me a trip and save me from opening the package and having to return the ***** from honda.

honda canada is charging me about 5$ per side, or is it $5 per part?

hopefully someone can offer some comfort or insight to the situation.

and for fun, here are the pictures of the seat recovering:
the seat cost me 45USD and the recover job cost me 65USD
these ***** will cost me between 10-15USD
im not installing belts so thats a free lack of mod (the seat is for aesthetic reasons(i dont like the look of the cargo shelf)
and the brackets that i need to install the seat i dont have a full price yet, i need to have them shipped from a honda wrecker in New Zealand, but they are very busy.
