96 accord press on accelerator
i've had a mechanic look at a couple things and he specifically looked at the valves and the valve cover gasket around that area.... now, when i'm accelerating, sometimes, there is a small spiral like rattling noise that gets louder the more i press on the gas. what is this?? the mechanic doesn't know. when i look at the engine when the car is on everything is vibrating really fast, so i guess that's just how it looks, right?
so what is rattling when i press on the gas and is there something loose?
so what is rattling when i press on the gas and is there something loose?

We've had several of those thru here lately.....
Sorry I can't be more specific, but I've never heard a condition discribed quite like this.

it's an automatic. also, i replaced the timing belt and seals yesturday and it's still making a rattling type vibrating tingy noise when i press on the gas in a positive motion and when i press more the sound gets louder. what is a spun bearing? and how could that have been a problem?

Connecting Rod Bearing:
Due to a total loss of lubrication the bearing welds itself to the crankshaft journal and is forced to spin within the Connecting rod 'big end'. Left to it's own devices, this often leads to a catastrophic failure where the connecting rod decides to make a break for it and bust out thru the engine block.
Not Good
