What would the result be if you took out the intake runners in the manifold? I hear it will increase your HP and Torque. There is a mild P&P H23 Intake manifold I could get my hands on for cheap...and the dude says he took out the intake runners to increase hp and torque at lower RPMs.....thanks for the help guys and girls....

Well on the H22a disabling the butterflies i.e. leaving them open all the time would DECREASE tq an hp at the low end. The gain is in the top end. That's why they don't open until 4000rpms (on the H22a) to save low end hp and tq.

 

They were put in there for a reason. Leave em.

 

I would be purchasing it like that already. What does taking the intake runners out.....affect?
