Default Testing Waters: Comptech Supercharger AND header

How much do you think I should sell my polished Comptech non-aftercooled supercharger kit (30k miles apprx) and a Comptech header? The only catch is that I dont have any stock parts, so an exchange for OEM parts would have to be included, to put my car back to stock (header, fuel rail, injectors, intake). All the parts are CARB legal. I would be able to assist in changing the parts, and have a car lift available. The person interested in buying the parts would even be able to test out the car first to see that the parts work flawless!

Thanks

is that 30k hard miles? It seems to be hit or miss with some of these Comptech kits as to when the blower needs rebuilt.

Pictures or everything are always a plus when selling.

Oh, and you may want to consider a wtb thread for the parts you'll need to go back to stock. If you can do that sooner than later it might help you sell the Comptech stuff quicker.

Good luck! I love my CTSC

The car has been well taken care of, I have used the car for Autocross about 8 times, and this is the only time I really push it. I absolutely LOVE the power of the car, but since times are tough, I'm considering either selling these parts or my boat, which I havent decided. This is why I ask how much you would pay for the parts.... just throw a random reasonable number, such as how much you would want if the parts were yours..

P.S. I put the carbon fiber cover on already, I didnt have it with me when I took these pics..

Considering that newer Vortech units are going in the 3,000$ range. I would say 2500$to 2800$ range. Also your blower is not aftercooled so even lower. Sorry harsh reality.

Thank you for your honest opinion.. price sounds ok, but Im guessing without the header right? remember this piece ran almost $1,000!

Just wondering- I am considering the Comp Tech S.C. for my S2K. Why are you removing from your S2000? And, can and after cooler be added for this application?
thx, Al

Thanks scotty. The aftercooler can be installed quite easily, or you can go with a SICK looking front mount intercooler, which I would do if I had the cash:

I would sell the header separate. Makes things easier. Also you can add a aftercooler to it no problem. I would stay away from an intercooler unless you are going to run a smaller pulley. Also this is turning into a for sale thread so you might want to lock it. Good luck with the sale.

Here's been the best place for me to determine what price I should sell stuff:
Forum Link

What generally happens is... I'll post up a thread, then I'll get one of these responses:
1. "THaT's SiCK yO! GLWS"
2. "I'll give ya $2 and a pepsi for it"
3. "You are asking WAY too much for that."
4. "You have PM"
5. "That guy is a ripoff!!"
6. "Buncha hAtERS in DiS!"

and many more... but, they'll usually tell you what it's worth.

the way normally used price works and yes i do this for myself... is 35% to 50% off the going price... but if its rare and not easy to find then that goes out the window lol

What are you bumping this thread for? Have you still not found your answers? Search around and see what the going rate is and then ask a few hundred more and see what happens. I would ask 2700 for the SC and 700 for the header. I don't expect you to get that much, but it's a good starting point.

I was actually thinking of 3k for both.... but this would include the person giving me their intake, stock header, fuel rail and injectors. Do you think this is a good price? thanks

I forgot about that you needed that stuff. Asking 3k seems reasonable. Since this is not the place for FS threads, or testing waters threads. If there is nothing else, I am going to lock this up.
