fuel pump, relay checking
Just picked up a 91 integra 4 dr. I started fine a few weeks ago. I went to pick it up this morning and it won't start.
The current owner thought that it wasn't getting fuel... so he disconnected both lines from the filter (at this point I was waiting for fuel to spray all over the neighborhood!) Sure enough... no fuel.
He thinks it could be a relay that sits near the interior fuse panel. How can i check? Is there any write up to check the relay and the pump?
New to the integras... thanks for the help!

First you can try taking the relay and a flicking it,you should here the pump turn on and off...If not you can take it out, pull the cover off and look to see if the soldering is still connected, that is normally the problem
As far as checking to see if there's electricity flowing to the relay.... What wires should be hot with the key turned on.
The car has a old black widow alarm. My friend that I'm getting the car from said it was starting to act up when the car was in constant use a few years back.
I'm going to take out the alarm. I just don't want to tackle that right away if it's not what's keeping the car from running
Yeah... that's what I'm thinking. So if I were to know which wire going into the relay should be hot.... then I would know if the alarm was blocking, of if mabey there's a problem with the relay, or something else in the system.
