ok i sent a guy on this board my AEM CAI off my R, well he gets it and swears up and down its a civic SI intake
do they even make a 3inch Si intake and would it fit in an R . I sent him the link to Aem to see for himself, and compare the part numbers.
Why would he think i would put an Si intake on my R? He even made a big deal from the begginning asking me if it was made for an R . . .and like 5 times I had to tell him yes, and show him pics of it on my freaking car. and he still don get it.
Then on top of it he screwed around with getting me the money for a while. . . and i even busted my *** and took it off for him right away and put my stock box in for a week until i put in my new cai . . . I learned an important lesson . dont deal with kids.

I thought the only 3" piping for the AEM CAI was for the Type-R ?

If you have to go through crap like that. Hard to go through to kiddies who don't listen

 

Only the Prelude and R are 3 inch. The SI is 2.5 (Noticeable diff in size). If he matches the part numbers up then there should be no debate.

 

what i bet happened is . . . he made a big deal if i was sure that this is an R intake. after about 5 times and a few pics of it on the car. he told me he was making sure cuz he just got ripped off the week before. so i bet he prob got ripped and got an Si one the week before and found someone(me) with the same color and everything for the R and wants to now say i sent him the wrong one and send me the 1st one he got . . . . little does he know i can id mine , cuz there was a hole in it for the nitrous fogger and he knows that. i got everything documented in case he pulled something like this . . . . i had a feeling with this guy .

anyway thats the only reason i can think of why he was acting so strangely.

 

hes trying to say that the part numbers dont match ? which is not understandable to me . i gave him the box and all the orig **** that had the right part number and say its for the R , maybe by any chance in the world, could AEM put the wrong id sticker on the right intake?i think i checkled the pipe though when i 1st got it and it matched. . . . im real **** about that ,
and it does match my other R cai to the T diameter and everything , i lined em both up before i shipped it out , just for piece of mind , cuz i figured he would come up with some kind of issue

Somehow I think you are gonna get screwed on this one. He might send the SI one back to and say that's the one you gave him.

A hole for Nitrous can be duplicated. You should have made a mark somewhere he wouldn't notice and see then.

 

trust me i know mine. i know where its cut and where its drilled and where the scratches are as well as the reciepts and where the filter silicone was cut down etc etc etc,. he can take it all the way , but he sure as **** aint getting over on me . if he sends it back then he lost his money and his intake for being so stupid.
