What would be good profile specs for ultimate low end power on a 99 DX camshaft?
That's the D16Y7. I haven't been able to find anyone that makes such a cam. So, I guess I'll have to have one custom ground. Also, odd question, but do any other model year cams work in this engine?

 

i think same generation cars will fit with each other as long as they're dohc to dohc or sohc to sohc...but i actually have a 93 vx with a 91 crx si cam...so i dunno

You can change it to the CRX Si cam which is bigger than the one u currently have. A guy just did a few weeks ago here in H-T. I'll try finding the post.

96-00 D16Y7 is its own design. NOTHING from ANY OTHER head will fit that motor. Custom is the only way

Ya, I tried gude, but the only one they make doesn't start making power untill 3800
Since I have an auto tranny that's actually too high in my power band. I also called them and a custom grind would be $500 plus the $250 core charge. And I wanted to keep my stock cam since I might go FI in the distant future...
Thanks though.... Guess I have no other option.... FI NOW.
