I'm looking for interesting and clean mounting locations... I have some ideas, but would like to see what others are doing. Ok I did a search but I can't find it, someone up here has a Audio console that holds there VAFC controller in the ash tray cig. lighter area. Can you post that pic up again.

i'm not sure if you civic has that area down by the cup holders where it's like a little hide away. I have mine tucked in there so i can fold it up so that no one will see it at night or when i'm no in the best area. I have a 00 civic.

 

Nope i don't have that opt. But that's a good place to put it at to. I have a94 civic with the opt audio console that everyone wants for there EG's. But I saw apic of someone's car where they had put their VAFC in the ash tray cig. lighter area, but now I can't find that pic.

 

I like mine in the glove box......either mounted or just threw it in there....don't like keepin it mounted in site...ppl be stealin $#!^. Plus I like to keep the stock look, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

mounted mine on the optional lower console in my EJ1

 

I've seen a yellow S2000 with it mounted in the visor. I didn't get a good look up close but I saw it at the gas station.... looked alright.

Mine is right where the center visor was above the rearview mirror. I just took the visor out and slipped the mounting bracket that came with the vafc into the hole where the visor was and secured it with the double sided tape. People that look into the car cannot see it unless they get on their knees and look up. I also cut up a cloth sunglass case to slip over it when im parked in a not so nice area. I'll post pics as soon as I can get ahold of a digital camera.

 

OT:...but does anyone have the little console piece that connects the console to the dash, that they want to sell?

 

Dogpile5 you tha person I was looking for. Now when you put your VAFC there did you cut the ash tray and cig out , b/c on the cig lighter side you know how it goes on a angle what did you do you make it fit right in???? Or did you just get a piece of plastic and custom make it to fit that area????

 

jdmfan.com shows you how to mount it near the cupholders in the DIN. looks pretty sweet

 

had to trim out the cig/ash tray a bit. then i used a piece of ABS plastic to make the flat panel that fills the space. pretty simple if you have some time to kill. kinda regret cutting the tray, but i don't smoke and it looks hella good!

 

I have seen it done on a del Sol.
