brake problems

Default brake problems

front brakes locking up after master cylinder will not release. changed lines and calipers same thing took Brake Proportioning Valve apart and what looks like grease is on the inside is this normal or is that grease loocking stuff contamination.

It's not good to find this black grease stuff inside the brake fluid.
It's a rubber seal someplace that has broken down and is now floating around in your brake fluid. My guess is that the master cylinder seal is dead.

so clean it and it should be fine (the Brake Proportioning Valve) when i replaced the master cylinder the seal did look bad. the car is a si and i put a dx master cylinder on does anyone see a problem with this.
