d16y8 in a 94 civic cx... car started fine but now car would start and idle for a couple minutes and then it just dies.. car wont start after... cranks and everything but wont start.. any ideas?

 

Did you perform any diagnostics on it? Fuel pressure, spark, fuel, timing, idle speed?

 

When it won't start, check for spark and listen for the fuel pump priming. Is the CEL staying ON when the key is turned to ON(II)? What ECU are you using?

 

So your saying its turning over but not cranking? Have you checked to see if your getting spark? Fuel pump coming on?

 

fuel pump is priming... and its getting spark.. the car will start occasionally and hold idle for a couple minutes but then shuts off.. then the car wont start nemore.. it gives that weak crank like the battery is dying out.. ive tried using a jump cable and im getting the same results..

 

No CEL... using a virgin p28

 

You might want to check whether the timing belt slipped a tooth.

How the cylinder compressions?

 

the problem was the battery.. thanks to everyone who tried to help out..
