I bought a gasket set for my d16y8 on ebay and they manage to send me a set for d15z1.

They are not replying my emails

Will the gasket work?

The last one was blown because i did not use ARP bolts and i boosted 10psi

I dont think so. The D16Y8 one is different the most of the other ones. Its usually a 2 layer metal gasket.

Also if they arent responding to your emails. Dispute the charge in paypal. That will get them to reply really fast.

 

it is 3 layer, the shop say it is the same head gasket.

I have studdyed pictures and they look the same.

Time will show, i'm removing the head today ang getting itt milled tomorrow.

if it is 3 layer, it is not a problem since i'm milling down the head i'am turboing it so need to lower the compression anyway

 

as long as it fits on there fine it should be ok. Bigger HG = Lower compression. D15Z1 is high comp head tho.
