high performance engine builder Q
...I want to take a high performance engine builder course this march but I have one thing that I feel worries me about being succesful in the future. is iit a good trade? like I don't want to learn how to do something that has a slow customer business or is like dead. I live in ny and around me there really isn't that many places that I know that build high performance engines. so I also was womdering about how much one makes to start.
word of advise... do something else with your life... something worth while.... this **** should be a hobby and thats it... go to school and become a lawyer or a doctor... then u can be happy and just pay someone to build your motor....
put this in general discussion, youll get a lot of answers there. It would be good to take auto classes, but dont just take one. Take a whole auto program and get ASE certified that way you can go work in a dealership or just about anywhere, and youll be able to build a motor too.
another point of advise to you, dont waste your time with ASE's ive worked for 3 dealers... and no one cares about ASE in the dealer world... its all about factory training... only get ASE's if you plan on working at a private shop or anywhere outside a dealer. i see you from rhode island, so go to NEIT its a very good program i went through it myself.
