starter issue

Default starter issue

ok i have a 91 crx si and it has a b18 swap well the damn starter will not turn over.. i took it to autozone and it tested good so i put it back on and still noting.. i can press the neutral safety switch buttom in and nothing.. all i hear is a click under the dash.... so i splice the neutral safety switch wires together.. the black and the blue one and still nothing... i also tried runnin a hotwire off another battery to the little femal plug in on the starter and all the starter does is click im lost... need help

try hitting it with a hammer, solenoid might be stuck.

yea same setup,i jus have an 89 rex with the same problem.it's sucks jump starting your car at the track,in the snow,with a gurl it blows dude. I bought a reman starter and still has the same problem,only thing i can think of is grounds ttt for the both of us

I'd check your grounds, and also maybe the wire from the + battery to the starter directly.

Sounds like it may not be getting enough juice for one reason or another if the starter is good.

i can run a solid 12 volts to the starter synelnoid male plug and still just clicks... it wont even click with the key.. but it will when i get 12 volts to it

sorry to thread jack. same problem here. been searching. it's late. i'm two weeks into this build and swap.

b18a1 into 88 crx

did the dpfi->mpfi wiring. question is what does that have to do with the starter? I jump the solenoid, and the starter will turn the motor(forever). i don't care that the motor won't start yet(it has spark). all the grounds are there(starter cranks when jumped).

CRAZY PART= when i release the key, the starter clicks(once). all the relays act normal; as if the car was gonna start just like it always did.
