CW 1996 spec rhd Honda Type-R
Less then 50,000 miles.
All original Rims/seats
Body is pretty beat up. Dings all over. An needs paint.


Any ideas?

I don't believe in the whole theory of low milage cars anymore just cuz they're from japan i mean 50000mile in 13 years I hope you don't take that as a selling point besides if it's a type R it's been raped on in the first place. I think that the R you looked at with the gsr motor and if it has a type r head could be a deal.

 

I am not soldon the black one with gsr motor cause it needs things done to it even though its at a dealership. I saw pics of the JDM specs from japan, they are in rough shape body wise. I dont think a 96 is worth 10k in that condition despite mileage. What it does do, is save time an effort an shipping costs cause I would want my red recaros back, original rims.. And possibly the jdm from end.

The Local black one's clutch is done I think. It grabs just before its totally released an that kind of abuse on 50,000 miles has me convinced the motor might need a rebuild. Clutch alone around here will be 800 or more prob. Unless I find someone to do just labor an I buy an act sport clutch? Needs a new radiator too. Now a radiator isnt a huge thing.. But for what I would put into it, it adds up. Its a rebuilt title an if something did happen to it. I am screwed unless I can keep cost to fix an buyprice relatively low. Right now, its the only R in Florida for sale. I have limited funds, and its been a year without one and I am going out of my mind. 6k an my pos prelude is prob the best deal I am going to find. I have been watching this forum an others as well as ebay an classified for a year an unless its got problems or super high miles, the car is 12k+ if not 14k+.. Not that I dont think they are worth it. I just cant afford that right now. This economy sucks

That is cheap, the fees an stuff must be expensive though.. Has to be. Otherwise I would buy 5 of them. an sell 4 an make the 5th free...

 

hahaaa yeah we all would it's not really the fees but it's hard to register I think you have to have some hook ups , I haven't heard of a private party import one yet and register, they either are jdm importere or ppl that work in the army,

thats dave B's car and i can vouch for the guy and how meticulous he is about taking care of his caRs. that would be a good buy if you were looking into getting it. just my .02 cents
