Default Wheels for my 99 sir

Hey guys,

I hope someone can help me out, I'm looking for some new wheels for my car for the spring and I'm having a hell of time finding a set. I want 17 inch wheels, I have a chance to pick up a set of Volk TE37's in black with red stripe but I don't know what they would looking like on a Milano Red SiR(American Si) I'm open to suggestions, photoshops and pictures from anyone I hope you can help me out, here are a few picturws of my car.

Thanks guys.

Mike

I know my cars not slammed that because of the roadss here in Nova Scotia, Canada...they aren't the best lol.

My engine bay before the supercharger.

Ya same here. My problem is, I like to spend a L O T of money on my cars, and I'm not trying to do this with this car. I just want something classy, not flashy ya know?

I think 17s on a Civic is way too big. Go with 15s or 16s or something.

I've got 17's on my custom Sol, and it's slammed. It's a bad bitch. But I have 15" black Enkei's on the Si right now. You think that will be ok then?

hondafab- hell ya those are nice wheels.. they look very nice on that Si. Not ricey either. I'm not big on slamming cars anymore. Where I'm living right now, there are enough dips in the road and speedbumps to make you want to cry with a dropped car. I dropped my Si a bit, just enough I guess. But my Sol scrapes the ground just taking a turn too fast lol.

mike- I dont currently have a picture of the car or wheels, but I'll go snap some shots tomorrow and post up. Then you can tell me what ya think :D

I'm riding on Ksport Pro coilovers, I'd lower it alittle more if the roads around here weren't so bad and rough I just don't want to beat my car all to pieces.

85 305: I look forward to seeing some pictures of your rides man..cheers

This year I have to clean my engine bay back up, I had to change my intake because I put on a Jackson Racing Supercharger in late fall, I bought the same intake just one for a 94-01 GSR because of how low the intake manifold sets on the supercharger as well I have a carbon fiber plug cover and a carbon fiber rad cooling plate....man I can't wait until the spring lol.

Hey Hondafab19,

Yeah every 2 years I like to change things up alittle with some new wheels but its getting harder and harder for me to find a set because i'm so damn picky..sigh....but I'm sure I willfind some in time, I had the hopes that you guy's on here could help me by giving some suggestions and pictures but no luck yet lol. As far as any pictures of my car supercharged I don't have any because it was late fall when i put it in and didn't get a chance to take any. I desided to go with a supercharger because it was different then a turo that everyone was running, I mean I knew I wasn't going to get huge power but I wasn't looking for it, I just wanted some nice streetable power jus incase I need it, like on the highway or for that unexpecting dick that wants to play lol. With a ild tune I was able to get 210 whp and 154 wtq I think i'm going to pick up a larger crank pulley which should give me a few more PSI and I'd like to have around 220-225 whp with somemore tuning and pulley I shuld hit it...but I love my supercharger , you get in the car and you get put of the car no waiting for your turbo to cool down before you shut your car off and the powers always there no kick in the *** when the turbo spools up, unless you like that its nice to have power as soon as you step on the peddle plus the wineing of the supercharger sounds cool too lol.

Ya it took some work.. it's a blast too. Tons of fun. Handles great, very quick and responsive, it's pretty much my cruiser car. It's a '93 w/ a '98 Civic conversion. It's got a zc motor swap, jap spec lsd trans swap, short shifter, intake, full exhaust, slightly bigger brakes, lots of custom body work (obviously haha), wide tires etc..
I've also wondered the difference between the Si an SiR.. I dont really know? Wiki would almost certainly behold the answer thought.

Personally I'm a turbo guy.. much more tuneablity, easier to make power, better gas mileage, normally it's more compact, and feeling that boost come in hard and sink you further into your seat at about 3k? Priceless!

mike hannam, ya i hear ya man about the wheels and all..it cause now a days
these aftermarket rim companies are paying more attention to the drifting cars like 350z , evo's and such and have less accomodations to us honda acura guys,if that maks any sense.for instance i like bigger wheels like 18's and 19's and these companies don't make many wheels that are like 19x7.5 instead they make them like 19x9 or 10 which fit like g35's and 240's and so.but my wheels for the spring are 18's just for some info...get back.

That car is mint... I wish mine was that clean. Go with the TE-37's, they should look dirty on that car.

Hondafab19: I hear ya man I was thinking of doing a 5 lug conversion but for what it would cost me it isn't worth it. I mean I'd love to get some type r wheels for my car and keep it true JDM but it costs too much. Man I hope I can find something soon i have the itch to get some lol.

Your thinking of either the bumper cover, or if it's the small area that goes over the exhaust pipe it's a rear lip

No I know what a rear lip is...these go on the bottom side of the rear bumper , it looks like a rear lip from the side but nothing on the back, almost like a side lip, try to find it through google and you'll see. I want to say their bumper ends or caps ..crist I don't know all I know is I can't find a place to buy them and I'd like to lol.

hannam! haha I'm 92CivicSi on Lowmotion, recognized the car.

You're talking about Mugen Spats. Very hard to get a hold of, but there was a guy on here selling fiberglass replicas. Marc-111 I think, try searching in hondamarketplace. And go to the Apprearance section and post in the EM1 threads, or make a new one and you'll get a lot more traffic.
