Default *********My 96 Ek Adriatic Blue (Standard to Recent day)*********

Hey all It will take me time to get pics of all the bits and pieces that i have done to my car but i will try and post them all up.

I had a build up on the old CSC but saying as it is getting back on track again I figured I would show use my journey.

It all started when i turned 17 my mum gave me her car which they had from new from Honda and had not been modified other than a set of 14" alloys.

I drove it like this until i passed my test. Which then i added a PowerFlow cat back system which I am still using now.

Then I purcahsed a set of 17" Konig Hurrys and lowered it 40mm on PI springs. Shortly after this I put an Type R lip on
and colourcoded the side skirts.

I drove the car like this for quite a while then some crazy person decided to key my whole car so i decided to sell the wheels and do things a bit differently.

I sold the 17's and bouught a set of 15" GT3's

Then I bought a set D2 coilovers

After this I bought ITR Black Recaros

Got a bit of carbon and relocated my stereo

I then Got an ITR rear Bench

and CTR gaitor

I got fed up with the Type R lip so I bought an OEM SIR lip from my mate SIM Auto.

Got Wind deflectors

I then tilted my standard spoiler and relocated front number plate

Also got OEM EK9 Headlights from Honda

I have to say that I loved my car when it was at this stage.

I have missed out a couple of little things like removing my rear wipper and adding an Aerial block of plate but sure.

Couple more pics I like

I got an Import recess from Honda

I then did an inlet manifold swap onto my d14 with a D16z6 one

I was one of the first to do this swap. Seen a guy in germany did it and followed his guide.

I got an ebay header and heat wrapped it as well.

Bought a Momo wheel from my mate Stevie who had it in his EVO.

Also got ek9 dial surround from SIM Auto.

Then Got NEW EK9 Carpet from SIM Auto.

This was just after JAE when me and a couple of my mates took the trip over from N.I. I was talkin to E2-Saw and he said he was thinkin about gettin EK9 carpet and
Don (SIM Auto) said he could get him it and I thought flip that would look sweet so we both ordered it.

My mate Johnny bought a Bride bucket for his EK9 and I really like the sitting position and feel of it so I then wanted a bucket seat.

I seen that Parker was selling his Buddyclub bucket seats and Takata harnesses and pads. So I bought the 2 seats and 1 harness and pad and johnny took the other harness for his Bride seat.

The seats were like brand new and so were the harnesses they would need to have been made me £1000 lighter lol but you get what you pay for.

Car stayed like this over the summer and then I wanted a change of wheels. I had been looking for a set of wheels for about a year but nothing ever came about that I really liked and was happy enough with the condition.
Then one day by pure luck I came across this website and found something pretty rare and in MINT condition.

Desmond Regamasters 15" 6.5 35 ET

For once the wheels were reasonbly priced not like some places here in the UK who try to sell 2nd hand wheels in 2nd hand condition for scandalous prices.

I got 4 new Proxies 4 for them

I Also got an EK9 spoiler from my mate SIM Auto and tilted it on brackets.

Got a Miracle Cross bar from the same website I got my wheels from. Johnny and I fitted it and added a bit of rubber around the wholes to add finishing detail.

Girlfriend was getting fed up with the bucket seat so I put a Recaro back in for her lol.

I also smoothed the two number plate holes and painted them.

I fancied a set of nice lug nuts to set my new wheels of so I bought Rays extended nuts from SIM Auto.

Thats pretty much were I am up to now I prob have missed out some things but I will add them in as I remember.

Couple of how it sits now

I had detailed pictures of all the different steps of each process on my car but the pics were on my old computer.

Car looks great. it has definitley come a long way. However, I don't like the tilted spoiler and why go all out on these premium parts and have a ebay header?

I need an engine to finish the car of but the problem here in the UK is the insurance.

At the minute i am paying $2000 a year for my insurance and I am 21.

I would love to go for B18 but the insurance would be crazy. I will just have to leave it a couple of years till my insurance comes down.

TBH the D14 is a great little motor and it has served me well.

Thanks for the comments
