Mugen SI
I didn't mean anything by it. Mugen threads used to come up regularly and every topic lead to overpriced aero bits and lack of power. Sales for this car were dismal. The mugen "looks" somewhat appealing, but as with many other members on here, initially overpriced for the power that it made.
It was hard to find one without a mark up upon its initial release. A local dealer had a sticker price of 41k. But all in all, the car only looks good. Apart from that, its just like any other fa5.

i like mugen si and all but for 28k you can get like a wrx or maybe find a used evo. if they made the mugens with more power then it might be a different story. Mugens stock turboed would be nice.
I think this car is a all show no go car. If you buy stock SI and put the money you would have spent on the mugen, and put it into the stock SI for performance mods you would have a hell of a car.
I think most people buy Mugen SIs for their rare factor not for their performance. Any rational person who wanted best bang for the buck performance in a compact car would have opted for something else: MS3, Cobalt SS or WRX.
Unfortunately our SIs didn't make the list. Lol.

So maybe ive been outa the loop or something, but since when does adding a bodykit/wing and some marginally stiffer dampers warrant a $10,000 price increase? From the specs Ive seen on this car, its nothing more than a 4dr Si targeted at some 18year old with stupid rich parents
If you were to price out the Mugen parts on the car it is worth every penny... also the resale value in the future is going to be great!
Out of the box the mugen can be a very fun track car and can get attention at the shows, plus you will most likley NEVER see another one while you are driving yours.
