Icon2 Turbo'd rex's

Ive seen a couple crx's on different sites that have a raised hump on thier hood on the drivers side, and i thought turbo, but ive never seen a hood like that for sale on any site. so did honda make a crx in another country that came factory with a turbo.

or do you mean a small hump on the driver side which is from a zc

its to clear the dohc zc i believe its a edm hood, not sure...

yea the hump on the drivers side i thought maybe there was a factory turbo in another country

if so then you are talking about the ZC style hoods. these are pics of my crx

yea thats it, is it just so the motor would fit cause a buddy of mine did a K20 swap in his eg and had to raise his hood like 3 in for it to clear the valve cover. Or are they turbo.

not for turbo for the dohc motor in the zc's

its just for cam clearance, as far as i knew the hood did have to be raised for k-series swaps because on the intake manifold sitting on the opposite side compared to b-series motors. no turbo purpose what so ever. the turbo would sit anywhere close to where the hump is located on the hood.

No crx from Honda from any model or country came with a turbo. The bump on the hood of the model you saw is from over sea's Si model cars that came with DOHC engines called ZC's.
The bump allowed for the hood to clear the larger cylinder head and valve cover. Here's a shot of one from my car
