Help!!! Radio Dead after Professional Sat. Radio Install?
Hey There!
Hope someone out there can help me on this one.
I have an '09 Honda Fit Sport and just took it to a car audio place to have my sat. radio installed. Apparently they aren't very good at installation...
I went to pick up my car and they told me that they unhooked the battery for the install and needed me to go to my dealer to have my radio code inputted. I told them I had the code and could get it for them (in the glove box). BUT, apparently they can't even get power to the radio and therefore can't even get to the point where they can input the code! They told me to go to my dealer (45 min drive away) and get them to fix the problem for me...frustrating.
Is the radio dead? What could have been the problem? I also have no power locks, no internal light, no reminder tone for lights left on or keys in ignition. How big of a deal will this be?
Can I do something here at home?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

This has happend to me when I was installing my subwoofer in my 07 fit.
Symptoms seem the same, such as domelight, keyless entry, alarm, and radio headunit all dead. Turned out to be the "back up" fuse plugged into the engine compartment fusebox.
I had the same problem you have in your 09, maybe the solution might be the same. Look for a dead fuse, or a dead fuse called "back-up"
Hope it helps.

There doesn't seem to be one there called "back up". In fact, there are only 3 under-hood fuses, one for battery, one for EMS, and one for something else (can't remember, but not back up).
Would it be located some place else?
Thanks again for the help.
THANK-YOU!!!
Got it!
It was the Back up fuse, as you suggested. And it was also the radio fuse.
The install guy (Best Buy) told me he checked all the fuses, apparently he didn't.
The Back-Up fuse is located inside the interior fuse box on the 09 Fit.
Thanks again for setting this straight!
Now, off to call Best Buy...
