'99 Accord, won't start, how can i tell if it's getting gas?
My 99 Accord won't start. It turns over, battery is not dead, yet it never catches and starts. How can I tell if it's getting gas?
Thanks.

Thanks.

Spray a liberal amount of carburetor cleaner past the opened Throttle Plate. Let it close, step back and attempt to crank over the engine.
IF it responds (and trys to start) you've got a fuel delivery problem (the carb cleaner substituted for the missing fuel)
IF it does NOT respond, then your issue is elsewhere.

These are locations where the electrical wiring harnesses attach to the chassis.
The automotive electrical system uses DC current (direct current). the idea being that a circuit is designed between the power sourse (battery) and it's target (bulb, etc) using wires switches splices (and on and on...)
As both a cost and weight savings device, they realized that they could use wires to control and deliver the electricity to the needed component and save money by using the car's chassis as the reverse path (the 'ground")

Thanks for all the responses. You won't believe the solution. My braniac husband was trying to start the car with a key with no chip in it. Well, atleast it didn't cost us any money to fix.
