2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan, Redline Orange. Kinda funny how it came about. Some of you know that I sell Honda for a living. Our dealership was participating in a sales contest for new Civic, CRV, and Accord models. Jan 2, 2009 was the last day for sales to qualify...we were 1 car short!

The owner of the dealership was running around trying to scare up that 1 last deal at about 3:30pm. @4:45 nothing was happening, no traffic, no appointments, no light at the end of the tunnel. Then it hit me! I'm 3 months away from needing a car to drive (lease end on Ridgeline). I went to the owner and made him an offer on this car. Obviously, he accepted. I signed the required paperwork and I brought it home with me last night (1/3?09).

The color was not my first choice, but I like it. I lowered my payment by about 200/month, AND I still have the Ridgeline for the next 3 months for bad weather/truck duty!

I didn't have the car for 2 hrs before the first mod made! PIAA plasma Ion yellow fog light bulbs. I almost didn't get a pic of the car stock before I'd worked a deal for a set of wheels. Worked out a trade for a couple sets of wheels. 17" Work Emotion XD9 (JonO's old ones) and 18" Mugen whatevers off the Mugen Si (not the ones that came up missing a while back). Slapped the Mugens on there last night.

Got the windows done today, and have been looking into either the Ingalls Stiffy ETD or the Boomba racing mounts. I hadn't gone 3 miles before a HEMI Ram wanted to play, and the 1-2 shift sounded like someone smacked the firewall with a hammer! The stock dampner SUCKS, so I'll be changing that VERY soon!

i dont think that civic si's come stock with engine torque dampers.
cuz i know mine didnt. and the break away motor mounts definitely suck.
thats why i bought the ingalls etd and i love it.
i have no regrets buying the ingalls.
it definitely looks nice under the hood also

I have not seen the 09's in person as of yet, but are the grills painted gloss/matte black?

Oh ya, if you don't have to run a front plate in your state, I'd remove that front bracket also, looks much better without.

 

The front grill on the 09 is gloss black.

Got a set of Skunk2 springs, gonna try those out. If I don't like them I'll go with something adjustable so I can make it sit 'just so'. Plus, I'm thinking about different wheels, something in a staggered setup.
