No. It's nothing more than a resistor.
These have been around in one form or the other for several years now.
They rank up there with
The Fish Water Carburetor
The Turbonator (80mm computer fan mounted in the intake )
and a bucket of Blue Steam

All it is is a Radio Shack project box, a Photoshop'ed label and a resistor with two leads. Along with the stamp and the envelope, it probably stands the guy $4.50 (maybe)

The one's I've seen wire into the engine Coolant temp sensor. It fools the engine into thinking it's not at operating temp and makes the ECM command the injectors to run richer.
There are several variations out there like this; all Cr***p

There are companies (and Hobbiests) who "Chip" ECM's.
What's this all about (you ask)?
Someone figured if they could change out the ROM Memory (Read Only Memory) for flash memory, they could modify the programming perameters of the ECM such as
Advance curves (ignition)
Injector mapping
A/F ratio's etc

Some companies desolder the motherboard and change the eprom socket to accomodate Flash memory. Some add a daughterboard which also includes a usb port for remote programming.

Hondata and AEM offer products like this as do others (I forget)

For a daily driver looking for nothing more than better fuel efficiency, probably not.
You'd probably have better luck maximizing the built-in fuel efficiency that the Accord was built with.

Yea, I would say if anyone buys one of these again, make sure to also rotate the air in your tires, lubricate your muffler bearings, and adjust your knibler pin- Then you will definetly get greater gas mileage.

You do not want to lubricate your muffler bearings. You will only create more kinetic energy rather than potential energy. Also, the gravitational pull will drag your center of mass down.

But the lower your center of mass, the better right? Like modifying car dynamics in GTA where you put the center of mass 20ft below the pavement and the car leans into the turn like a boat? WOuldn't this improve track times by like... 12 fold?

Dont forget vtec stickers-and lots of them!

BTW: a turbo can you better gas mileage as it atomizes the air and compresses it but thats on like ~1psi, and what fun is that?

Are you sure? I thought stickers only improved horsepower... my friends and I have been having an argument of whether decals raised HP. I say flames add about +10 HP. Thoughts?
