Bearings, Seals, and maybe a shim are definite things to replace.

Probably looking to replace synchros if you are havng grinds.
You'll have to open it up to inspect them to see what you need.
Maybe shift forks too if yours are beat.
Same goes with the actual gears after inspection.

some of the parts are the same as Si and some are different - all of the ZC gears (except reverse), mainshaft, countershaft, differential carrier, differential side gears and axle seals are different - bearings, shift forks, shift fork shafts, synchros, shifting mechanism parts and seals other than axle are the same as the Si that has the large differential bearings

what is wrong with it that you need to rebuild it? - parts are not real cheap - might be simpler and cheaper to buy another one from Hmotors for $150 + shipping

this was also in the FAQ's. it's about the L3 DOHC ZC tranny compared to the USDM Si L3 tranny.

dam thats cheap for a tranny i got mine with my motor from japanstar motors and they didnt ship me the ecu like it said it came with along with no altator or a/c compressor it was missing 2 injectors god noes why and took way too longe to get to my house almost a month after ordering it. then i got every thing running and 3rd and 4th gear grinds like hell no matter how you shift every once n a while i'll get lucky and not grind 3 but not likely not fun for a dd
