We did a black Turbo S2000 last month and we are working on Silver one this month...

We are trying to do a color rotation but nobody had a Pink one hahahahaha

The Silver one will be a beast...

Is in the Design stage, we are doing all the drawings in Solid Works Software to get it to the CNC machine then test it... We bought 2 ford independent suspension rear ends ; one for the silver car and the other one as the prototype...

This will most likely be out by Summer of 09... we will keep you guys updated with pics...

Oh, okay. I was wondering if it was similar to what BoostLogic is doing with the Ford 9" but I didn't think that would fit very well. Thanks for the info, always good to see more options coming out.

Where are you guys getting those batteries? Do they seem to hold up ok and provide enough amps?

Curious b/c I also have a sub/amp in the trunk.

there are 2 models we use, the one for this setup works perfect for this customer which doesn't have a sound system but our shop S2000 has the other model and has an amazing sound system...No Problem what so ever...

interesting idea, should be pretty common rear ends to find. I know the ford cobra guys eventually destroy their rear ends and switch to the gt solid rear ends though. but that's usually around the 600+hp mark and way more torque than the S can put out

how much boost did it take to hit the 408whp mark? the install looks great!

 

Ford built the 03-04 cobra drive train to handle 700hp; same with the suspension.

 

I just know the cobra guys around here started killing the rear ends and axles after 600whp. maybe it was just the axles and the diff was fine, don't remember.

I hope I don't sound too dumb asking this question, but I'm new to s2k's. I had a turbo EM1, and I was curious what a decent turbo set up for an s2k costs? Or what it would cost to have your company install a nice kit like this?

 

you're looking at about $4,000 - $6,000 for the turbo kits I've seen. plus the ECU (aem is at least $1,000), fuel pump and injectors, plus install, and plus tuning if you're not installing and tuning yourself.

 

I spent around 6,000 on my basic set up.

 

how many lbs of boost to make 408?

 

The car made 408whp @ 13psi on our Mustang Dyno, the car has a lot more in it! But the customer want it to start with this for now, we'll be doing the race gas sesson in the next couple of weeks... He needs to get tires before he does anything else, the car goes all over the place with the stock tires!
