This is in a 98 SH. Its been awhile that while using the keyless entry the driver side door would not unlock. The passenger side would however. And to enter into the driver side door i would just use my key. The door would lock however using keyless entry and by hand from inside the car or by using the key. About a week ago i was driving and i park to get out and the door will not open or lock from inside. So i have to crawl out the passenger side lol. I find that it will not open or lock using the keyless entry or key. I can not get the door to open. I want to take the door panel off to get a better look at this. However i can not open the door to remove the last clip that sits behind the dash while the door is closed. How should i go about fixing this or atleast finding the problem.

 

The power lock actuator has failed on the driver's side. About $30 for a new one. It sounds like yours failed in a position that inhibits the lock action and making it impossible to open you door. Try manipulating the key lock and pulling up on the lock rod to try to free it.

 

$30 through honda ? How hard is it to change ?

Also how am i gonna get this panel off to even get to the rod ?
