I wanted to know if anyone is using a type r throttle body on their GSR feel any gains? I'm thinking I might buy one from a friend and use on my stock gsr manifold. Give me some thoughts

My buddy did that on his GSR and the throttle response was a little better. Patric is right though. You will need more mods than just a itr tb to feel any power gains.
You see the man has 22k posts and you want opinions from someone else? LoL....
As he stated, you won't do much without a Skunk2 IM. Will it do something? Possibly, but ITR parts owners think their parts are special so you'll end up paying about as much for a ITR 62mm TB as you would to just simply bore your own TB.
That's problem one, problem 2 consists of you not being able to use the TB in the first place because of how the Throttle cable runs differently in Gsr and Non-Gsr engines. If you got it for free then go for it but otherwise you're far better off just either having yours bored out ( maxbore.com ) or buying a new one......BUT that's only after getting a 3" ITR intake and an IM that is somewhat close to the same inlet size.
When you look at the length that air has to travel between the IM, intake and the TB, you'll realize that a 4mm restriction between the IM and the intake is not going to have as much impact as removing the restrictions elsewhere.

Anywhere between $200-$100 depending on what else comes with it too.

Look at ALL the mods that a Type R has (cams, intake manifold, higher compression, valves, ecu tuning, etc, etc, etc) and realize honda only got 25 crank hp from it. Don't expect a Type R TB on a GSR to do much without the supporting mods.
