Help me choose some seats...
In the process of trying to find some new seats for my ITR. Nothing wrong with my current stock itr seats, but just want to change it up a little bit. A local guy has some MINT black dc5 recaros for 1850. These seats have no wear, no marks, no nothing, look brand new. Only con is i would need to buy some dc2 rails/sliders to bolt up. This set up would cost about $2k. Orrr should i look into some brand new bride brix II or something along those lines which usually run about $900 per seat plus sliders around $2k total. Orrr should i just be patient and try to find some MINT dc2 recaros even though i dont like the design as much and mint dc2 recaros are hard to come by. Just a fellow ITR owner looking for some feedback/advice. Let me know what ya think!
Mint dc5 recaros for 1850 seems kinda high. I got my set for $1300 shipped for my old rsx and they were in really good condition. But I would probably go with the dc2 recaros. They fit my body size pretty well while holding me tight but not squeezing on me crazy and I'm 5"7' and weigh 150lbs
MINT DC2 recaros are REALLY hard to find.
If you can grab a set of mint DC5 black recaros that are "like new" that is getting really hard to find now also.
Keep in mind that you could sell the DC5 rails if you can get them with the seats for 1850
If you like the look of the DC5 and you found a mint set, I would go that route. Very comfortable seats!

Yeah your right i could end up selling the dc5 rails that are on it...im super super picky as to what i put in or on the car so i wouldnt accept anything but mint and mint dc2 recaros are nearly impossible to find because of how old they are. The dc5 are really mint but come with a hefty price tag, but i could also sell my stock itr seats which are also in nearly new condition. If im spending that much i want the seats to be hard to find, any joe with deep pockets can go by a brand new set up brides...i guess my question is are mint dc5's worth that much and hard to come by?

If you like the DC2 Recaro's better than the DC5's, you can still buy new SRD's from Recaro, the difference will be the material. They won't be the same alcantera that the real DC2's are. The upside is that I've heard they don't show wear nearly as much as alcantera do. Just a thought. Also if you look on the Recaro website, they have some pretty awesome seats.

Take a look at the Recaro Speed, it is the successor to the DC2 and DC5 seats. Comes in many colors/materials including black with red stiching. They are usually $650-$1000 per seat depending on color/material. I found brand new blue suede ones for sale from a Recaro dealer for $900 each. You might try calling around and finding a dealer that has some in stock that you could go sit in.
Ohh well i will need rails/sliders all together, you know where to buy some? i know wedge engineering makes them but idk what kind of company there are...
I use the Vision One-Touch Sliders for my Recaros because my knees were hitting the steering wheel. If 6 feet tall I would go with those.

Im 5'10 but i dont want the seats to sit high either though and look stupid, bc i have heard the dc5 sit high in the dc2....the visions make the seat sit lower?
Just the rails from DC2 Recaros will make it be at stock height + about 1/4" taller. This is the same height as the DC2 Recaros are. I've had both. The seat bottoms are the same.
The design of the DC5 recaro is very similar to that of the DC2's, they fit VERY similar in terms of height.
The "rails" are the entire rail assembly on the bottom, it is just four bolts, not like a regular honda seat. To swap "rails" literally takes 5 minutes.
All I can say is that you will be in love with how comfortable and how secure you are. Just keep in mind that if you daily drive your car the seats will get the typical bolster wear you see on JDM ITR seats. The sides come up so high, hard not to put wear on them when you are getting in and out.
You can find "mint" condition DC5 seats for roughly 1350-1550 + shipping so if you can get a "better than mint like new" set for 1850, that's a fair deal because shipping can get expensive.
So if i just buy some vision rails as spid5 linked me too, that is all i will need in order for the dc5 seats to bolt up to my itr? ICB tried telling or charging me 375 for jdm dc2 brackets and rails, an said that is what i need in order for these to fit...just a little confused...
icb is really expensive...
They sell used for about 200 bucks or less... they are getting harder to find though.
