Just want too start off by saying yes im new and i think the site is super but im not going too talk about me lol iv got a ef1 civic its my first car and starting too mod it mostly im moding the motor here is were i need help . Its only the stock 1.3 and iv got dual carbs for it yesterday . Do any of you guys no how too fit them and could tell me or do you no were i could find a tutorial too show me . and thanks for anyones help that can help me out :D

hey dan, was just wondering if ya found any good info on the dual carb swap?? ive just done the exact same one and am havin problems gettin it to run right?? i live in roscommon, so maybe if u were near by and had managed to get it rite i could compare carb setups and c wher ive gone wrong cheers

 

you'll need to have a DOCE dual carb manifold fabricated... you may be lucky and find one from a similar car that you can modify or one that was originally used as a racing unit on that engine. there are plenty of places that can make one for you.

then you need to route the accelerator cabling and have the unit tuned(or tune yourself, by doing plug checks)

be prepared for extremely crisp and snappy throttle response if you get it right
