ok bought a universal Oxygen sensor for my 96 lude and the wire match up is waaaaay confusing and i dont know what wires connect to what heres some pics im sorry that the image isnt that clear but hopefully someone can help me

yeah your plug is blurry. But just off the top of my head, I believe it goes like this

Green - Grey
White - Black (universal NGK)
White - Black
Black - White


Try toying around with this, I believe its right. Someone correct me of wrong, or you could try to search. Also, make sure to solder the wiring together and put shrink tape around the wires. Just fyi I went down this road.. and ended up buying a #23 Honda part brand new OEM Sensor.. Its about 185 shipped, and worth it..

ok i think i got it on the reference chart it says

White=White
Black=Black
Gray=Green

they left an extra white wire on there for the hell of it i guess >_< but yea ima try it out if not worst case cenerio fried ECU

 

Wow O2 sensors are expensive where you guys are.
A brand new NTK O2 sensor(direct fit) costs me $50 which is less than a universal ($85).

 

I got a piece of **** bosh at Partsource for 65$. Been good for and going on the 3rd year now. Direct fit 2 wire. Obd2 sucks ***. Does the 96 have 2 O2 sensors?

I'm pricing out a 95 SR-V for my next prelude. No matter what, one of them will run perfect lol. I'll stay obd 1 thats for damn sure.

 

ok i hooked up the bosche universal o2 sensor B4 the cat and the wire diagram on the paper says:

Blk to Blk
White to White
Gray to Green

whats the extra white wire on the o2 sensor? do i connect that to the redish extra wire on the o2 sensor connecter?? need answer asap
