Default buying a type-r

Hey wassup all, i'm thinking about buying a 98 type-r. How can I find out that its a legit R??? Also the car is selling for 7k all stock w/about 100k miles Is it worth it??

Here's if you see this in the vin number then its legit
JH4DC231

If it is correct, the car should be white

ALL Type R's has (JH4DC231) as the first vin numbers. 1998 Type R's are all Championship White in color.

$7k for an all stock '98 with 100k is a good deal. Does it have a clean title? Has it been in any accidents or been stolen? My guess is it may have a salvage title but if this is ok with you it may still be a pretty decent buy.

Thats my guess too, a itr for 7k there is usually something like a salvage title, accident or something missing like the seats. I
