Default No power steering + friend driving= 5th gen down

I let a friend borrow my 5th gen due to issues w/ his teg and unfortunately he was blinded by the sun while turning, couldnt move fast enough out of the way of a semi. If you guys dont have ps i wouldn't recommend letting others drive.

Your friend got lucky. It could have been a lot worse if he got hit by a semi. Get new friends.

He was lucky, only a bruised shoulder. Honda safety FTW!

I would punch your friend in the face at least once.

your friend is lying to you. have you driven your prelude w/o power steering? it's the same thing as if you had power steering. the only moment you will really need to put some muscle into is when you're standing still. if you're going any speed over 1mph you would be fine. this is why i no longer let friends drive my car.

It was my car of course i drove it w/o ps with no problem. It was more so being blinded and not having time to react then just the ps.

I know preludes arn't 10,000s of thousands of dollars but I would let a friend drive my beamer over my prelude . I love the prelude more than any car on the planet other than maybe an acura TL. Either way though I like a bit of a smaller car so I still stand with my origional statement of the prelude being loved more than any car :D

If the insurance company decides to be an *** they can deny the claim all together. I believe the word they use is... PWNED! Hopefully, he is a good enough friend to pay you if/when your insurance claim is denied.

hahaha that sucks...
thats one reason I only drive Manual Trans
my freinds are too lazy to learn how to drive stick, and
the ones who know how are too lazy to
so none of them could drive my car if they wanted to
lol

Thanks guys, insurance cut a check for a lil over 6g's. I had 254,000 miles on it and kept it in good condition so im happy. Unfortunately my insurance pays for the car, but he got the ticket so rates will be going up on both of us. I got a legacy 2.5gt this past summer so im still good on transportation. I'll always be a honda guy so if not another lude, i'll get something wearing a honda badge in a yr or so.
